Membership

Membership in the Fourth Degree is open to Third Degree members who have been members of the Knights of Columbus for at least one year. (Note: the one year period is measured from when you take the First Degree).

Exemplifications of the Fourth Degree are held within the First New Jersey District on an annual basis. A candidate must complete the membership application, which must be signed by the Financial Secretary of the candidate’s Third Degree council to attest good standing, and submit it to the Assembly together with a check in the amount of $65. That fee will cover the exemplification costs (including a Fourth Degree pin and social baldric) and the candidate’s attendance at the banquet. Additional banquet guests can be accommodated at $42 each. The Assembly assesses annual dues in the amount of $15, but no dues are charged for the year in which the candidate is admitted to the Fourth Degree. In addition to the $65 fee the candidate must cover his own cost for a tuxedo for the exemplification. Normally there are some good packages available.

The next exemplification will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2006.

Interested candidates are urged to contact the Assembly membership chairman, S.K. Robert L. Keeling, Jr., PGK, PFN, FDD.
