Faithful Navigator’s Message:

Sir Knights,

As we start a new fraternal year, I want to congratulate PFN Jay Bohn on 2 great years of leadership.  It will be a difficult task to follow in his foot steps, but with your help, your prayers, and my staff of elected officers, I will do my best.

Our installation of officers will be at our next scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 8PM.  I ask all newly elected officers to wear tuxedo and social baldric.

Please remember the Basilone Parade on Sunday September 25, 2005 in Raritan.  Please come and march, especially if you are a Color Guard member.  This year we will have our annual PFN/Christmas Party, annual raffle, Deceased Members Mass, and of course exemplification.

Our PFN/Christmas Party will be on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 3PM.  We will be honoring PFN Jay Bohn’s retirement as FN.  Cost will be $40.00 per couple.  We will also have our annual raffle drawing at this event (look for your tickets in the mail).  Our annual raffle is our only fund raiser, so please support it.

The Fourth Degree Exemplification will be on Sunday, April 23, 2006.  Start recruiting now.

Our monthly meetings are the 4th Tuesday of each month.  Plan to attend.  I promise to keep our meetings short.

Remember in your prayers our deceased brother knights and their families, the poor and displaced victims of the hurricanes, especially Hurricane Katrina.  At our September meeting we will be taking up a collection for the hurricane victims.

God bless you all, pray for us that we have a good year, and for the good health of all our brothers and their families.

Vivat Jesus,

Roman Hnidj

Faithful Navigator

Hall Rentals:

One of the benefits of membership in our Assembly is the ability to rent the Somerville Council hall.  Rental rates are reasonable and the decorated hall makes an excellent venue for many celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, showers, sacraments, etc.  Contact Sir Knight Jim Trenchard at (908)231-0827 for information on rentals or to reserve your date.

Religious Articles:

Do you have any extra religious articles that you do not know what to do with?  Please call Brother Bob Behling at (908) 526-1431, who works with having them sent to Missions in Third World Developing Countries.

Welcome Back:

The Editor as well as the newly elected officers hope and trust that you and your families had a great summer.  We look forward to your attending the meetings and look for any suggestions etc that will enhance the “Chapeau”.  Welcome Back……..
